The state of Kerala has been witnessing an alarming spurt in Mosquito borne diseases in the recent years. In Kerala, north of Calicut there are no institutions conducting research and providing consultancy services in the field of mosquito borne diseases. With a noble objective to fill this lacuna, the Mosquito Research & Resource Center has been established at the P.G. Department of Zoology.


OBJECTIVES


1. Research on mosquitoes.

2. To provide consultancy to the public and governmental and non-governmental organizations.

3. To provide training to students and health workers.

4. To establish referral services in the field of mosquitoes and mosquito borne diseases.
